CC Africa - The ultimate luxury safari experience in Africa
It is always a pleasure to receive feedback on how the CC Africa experience has touched our guests. Here is just a sample of the incredible comments we have been receiving from our guests staying at our lodges across Africa.

"We're just back in New York from the honeymoon, and words cannot express how absolutely impeccable and flawless the service and staff were for the duration of our stay. My wife and I were both completely overwhelmed by the level of personal attention and care shown us by each representative of your wonderful organization for nearly two full weeks. I've never before felt so pampered, and each lodge was in its own right an unexpected gem and a wonderful retreat from our everyday lives. Each location (from Ngorongoro, to Manyara, to Under Canvas, to Mnemba) was ideally suited to our special holiday. I'd never met anyone who'd had the pleasure of traveling with CC Africa, but acquainting ourselves with so many repeat guests at the various lodges was the best testament to the lure of your idyllic safaris. We have promised ourselves to revisit Tanzania and the other countries in the region with a CC Africa presence as soon as possible. We are heartfully recommending to each of our family and friends that they travel in style and experience the magic of the game drives exactly as did we. So relaxing, so eye-opening, so memorable! This was so much more than a vacation. It was a life-affirming experience which we will not soon forget."

"Our entire trip was flawless. Grumeti will probably be remembered as a favorite simply because it was first; Lake Manyara was architecturally my favorite; Ngorongoro Crater Lodge was wonderfully luxurious and Klein's Camp gets the reward as our favorite setting since we could actually see the animals in the valley from our veranda.

We were fortunate to see herds of elephants drinking and interacting, the migration of the wildebeast and zebra, giraffes actually fighting and also younger ones tusseling, baboons everywhere, hippos in and out of the water, cheetahs lounging and tearing apart a kill and ravenously eating and of course the lions. We saw every age from black-mained males to 5 week old babies, from eating after a kill to resting in the trees at three different camps."

"What an adventure! We had lost baggage- jeeps that broke down- or got stuck in the mud- flooded out lodges- closed airstrips... And with everything that went wrong, we had more fun than you can possibly imagine!

With all the rains, many of our well laid plans had to be changed around at the last minute. Because we couldn't get through to Under Canvas with all the flooding, we ended up spending Christmas night at Klein's Camp (which was mine and my husbands favorite lodge from our last trip with you!) It was a terrific way to celebrate Christmas!

I have to say that under the unforeseen weather circumstances the people at CC Africa went above and beyond all expectations to make sure we were well taken care of. We love Klein's and we love Tanzania Under Canvas!

We are already talking about safari next year... This time I think Botswana and South Africa!"

"I have been thinking how to begin to write this letter. I guess I will just start by thanking you for arranging a wonderful Christmas Holiday for us. The Nelson Family will always remember this adventure forever. This was the first vacation we went on as a family and we all were so excited everyday. Cc Africa has made a great impression on our family. We will be vacationing again with you. We thought this trip was going to be a once in a lifetime experience, but on the flight home Scott and I were plotted where our next safari would be discovered. Thanks.

Sandibe Lodge in Botwana was a wonderful way to start our trip. Bats and Bee were incredible. They made the children feel great. They even kept in step with our older sons humor. The staff at the lodge was second to none... You can't pay people to be that genuine. It was a real pleasure to be out there with them.

At Matetsi we were treated like royalty. See Victoria Falls was a once in a life time experience and to think that Scott, Andrew and Shawn were able to white water raft on the Zambi River. My boys had a huge grin on their faces and were exhausted after the run. While they did that I took Kathleen and Ryan on an elephant ride. Kathleen talked for hours to her Dad about this, and I am not joking about the amount of time...

Of course, it was very clever to end our trip at Melton Manor. It was voted by the Nelson's as a do over!!! We will be back. Gram was wonderful with our kids. He is an incredible resource of knowledge. He has a great deal of patience and has spurred a Junior Range out of my daughter. She couldn't get enough of his walking tours. Ross was wonderful. He made sure that we had everything we ever wanted without us knowing we wanted it. Many thanks to his hospitality. Daniel spoiled us with his cooking and even shared his recipes.

Thank you, Thank you , Thank you,,"

"We had a FANTASTIC time at Madikwe Safari Lodge in early December. Specifically, our guide, Clare, was excellent. We expected pprofessionalism and facts, and got those of course. But we also got got warmth, humor, and in-depth knowledge that fueled our interest and will inform the stories that accompany our amazing photos for years to come.

(Her excitement at our black rhino sighting was terrific and infectuous!) I'm sure the guides see so many guests per year that we all blend together, but she will remain in our memories forever. Thanks for giving her -- and all the guides -- the training that allows them to enhance the entire experience."

"Africa is by far a "trip of a lifetime" and we have so many stories to tell. My very favorite is the one where you arranged for a trip to a local village church outside of Lake Manyara....it still brings tears to my eyes. The local village, Mayorca, was absolutely a treat to see and the people at the church who welcomed us with such joy, sweetness and kindness that we will never forget it. A young girl, about 3 years old, sat next to me on a bench and all she could do was stare at me and touch my hand. She never changed her expression but a look of wonderment was on her face the whole time. Then the choir - oh my God - the choir ---- there are no words to explain the feeling from listening to them during the Mass. We were asked to speak in front of the congregation and tell them who we were, where we came from and why. Thank God for Casmir (whom we adored) who translated. We had some good laughs when they asked how old we were (we would not say how much we weighed) and they asked if they could sing for us. Wow, wow, wow......40 minutes of pure pride and joy coming from these people. If that was not good enough they then asked if we would like to take their "sacrifice" that they made to the church - a dozen eggs from their chickens....talk about a good happy cry from both of us. That is just one of the stories...."

"The reception was the ultimately royal treatment, the drinks, the food, the luxurious accommodations and attentions to detail are unsurpassed. They sang for us, danced for us, celebrated with us. Once I read that it is not important how many breaths we take a day but how many times our breath is blown away. The park is a petite piece of land place between the Rift Escarpment and the lake. The tranquility of the flamingos, the lions on the trees and the noisy baboons make a delightful symphony"

"CC Africa is incredible. Grumeti River camp was our first CC Africa destination and we could just not believe it, what a fabulous spot.  Kicking back in luxury at the camp, with great staff, and great food almost living with wild and free African animals was an experience of a life time.  Our guide Noel was excellent as are all of the CC Africa staff."

"EXETER RIVER LODGE, what a place... the most SPECIAL place we have ever been to! And I say that after having been to 26 countries in the world... What a ROOM!!! It combined sophistication that people like us expect, with a personal, warm, friendly, African-bush atmosphere! Nothing was artificial and we felt refreshed and our energy refilled 5 minutes after having gotten there... Other lodges that we have been too are really sophisticated, but just don't seem to fit with their surroundings... Obviously, this is not the case with Exeter River Lodge."

"To be honest, we did not want to come home!  This was the first trip I can remember that we were really sad and could barely get on the plane!  The experience (and I call it that, because it was much more than a “stay”) was literally mind-blowing for us!  What a fantastic time we had, and I wish it could have been three weeks instead of three days. The accommodations were great it was difficult to answer the 5:30 a.m. knock at the door!  We felt very honored to stay with you.  From the time we arrived to the time we left, the hospitality was excellent.  We also felt that we made some friends while there, and we hope to keep up the communication. And of course, thanks to the animals who always seemed to show up just for us.  Sorry I can not say anything that needs improvement.  How can you improve upon perfection?"

Ramna Brandt, San Francisco

15 June 2007

"We arrived safely back in San Francisco today after a truly amazing experience in Kruger at Ngala Safari Lodge. We were totally blown away, that is the best way I can describe our experience to you! The lodge, the staff, the animals we saw - were beyond anything we ever dreamed of. The attention to details by the staff was amazing - brunch in the bush, tea, cocktails in the bush, the outstanding cuisine, the beauty of the buildings/furnishing in the lodge, the health and quantity of the animals we saw, we really just cannot say enough positive and shining comments about everything we experienced. I have to tell you, I was so sad to leave that I actually cried. We both wished that we had signed up for 2 more nights, our stay was too short.

In particular, we would like to say that our ranger Mark was fabulous. We learned so much from him and appreciated his enthusiasm and knowledge. He is a real asset to CC Africa in Ngala.

We are now hooked, and will be planning another trip to a CC Africa reserve in the near future."

Peter M. Armour [Phinda Forest Lodge]

12 May 2006

"A small group of us recently visited Forest Lodge in the Phinda Private Game Reserve to help one of our numbers celebrate an important birthday. The reception we received there, and the flawless way things were arranged for us was of such a high order that I feel it important to convey our delightful thanks to your Organisation. In the process I would also like to commend both the management of the Reserve and the many at Forest Lodge who made it so wonderful to be there.

Probably the first thing which impressed us all was the very real effort that seems to have been made to make sure CC Africa's commitment to conservation is actually carried out. In an age when many Companies publish "Mission Statements" claiming to be our planet's devoted protectors, all while doing egregious damage to its most fragile parts, it's so special to find a corporation which actually "walks the walk", as well as "talking the talk". All the staff at Phinda seemed to have a real pride, not only in their particular job, but also in the overall goal of helping to preserve Africa's great wildlife heritage.

And their training must have been of a very high order, for all we met at the Forest Lodge were cheerful, and helpful, taking prompt care of all our needs during our stay....

Not only that but out entire visit went off without a hitch. That in itself suggests a high level of management ability. This opinion is supported by the evident respect and liking the lodge staff displayed toward their manager."

"We all loved our trip and are already discussing our next CC Africa expedition! We will all be recommending very highly to everyone we know to stay with your lodges as not only the service but the Company's philosophy and people cannot be bettered. I can't say enough about how wonderful the people were."

"The staff at Madikwe Safari Lodge were all extremely helpful and friendly. The accommodation was good - especially the plunge pools and outdoor shower. Mark, our ranger, was very good too and made our game viewing experiences fun and Aaron, Camp Manager, plus Margaret and Solomon all made us feel very welcome and couldn't do enough for us."

"Just got back from our safari via London last night and my husband and I are anxious to let you know the results of our trip.

It was absolutely fantastic and went far beyond any expectations we had!

First, of course, just being in those locations, the animal and bird sightings were truly magnificent. The accommodations were incredibly comfortable, dramatic, and magical each in their own way.

The food was excellent. Every meal was delicious and creative. And in general, the level of organization was outstanding. I felt completely taken care of and therefore, carefree. That alone is worth the price of gold!

But most impressive of all was the quality of staff that we encountered at each site. Everyone was professional but warm and welcoming. Every need truly was taken care of. I can't tell you how much we appreciated their work and personalities.

Plus the little extras like drinks at sunset on the open plains or breakfast outside along the river. So many thoughtful and memorable experiences.

Our drivers were most excellent - again at each site. They always asked us what we would like to see on each ride (even though we knew there were never any guarantees of such), anticipated our needs on the rides, and made it possible for us to get unbelievable photographic shots. Plus we loved the land rovers - they were perfect for seeing and being so comfortable in the open air. We saw a few from some other companies that didn't measure up in our estimation.

In summary, many, many thanks for the most wonderful trip of my life. Your company has much to be proud of. I will recommend CC Africa at any and all opportunities. And while I imagined before the trip that this would be our only trip to Africa, now we are not so sure. So you may hear from us again - time will tell."

"I wish we could give you the names of all those that helped to make the trip so great but it wouldn't be fair to all those who worked so hard behind the scenes to make the picture perfect.

To "cut to the chase" as we say in the US of A, CC Africa has an outstanding operation that includes the accommodations, the location of its facilities, and most importantly, its people. Without exception, everyone we met was extremely friendly and eager to help in any way they could. Service was impeccable, especially the "bubble bath" and the bouquet of 40 roses at the Ngorongoro Crater Lodge. That's going to be a tough act for me to follow at home.

The game drives, the real reason for the safari, were conducted in comfortable vehicles and were extremely interesting. Without exception our guides were knowledgeable, courteous and friendly."

"Our comments about Ngala? SUPERB!

We have stayed at Ngala SIX times up to now and we're looking forward to the seventh one!

In 2001 we knew nothing about CC Africa, so we chose some game reserves at random through a Tour Operator.

We choose Ngala just by chance and we loved both the place and the staff so much that we returned many times!

We like CC Africa and the way they deal with conservation, nature and people. "

"On behalf of my husband and myself I would like to compliment you on the quality of the CC Africa guides and trackers. We are lucky enough to get to the bush fairly regularly in SA, Zimbabwe and Botswana. The quality and integrity of the CC Africa staff is far superior to any other that we have encountered. Wherever we go the CC Africa understanding and commitment to conservation never wavers."

Bob Albertson, Paris

"We were enchanted with our stay at Kwandwe. The various lodges making up the Park were magnificent, and we were delighted with our spacious Ecca Lodge suite and its tasteful and resolutely modern decor. From top to bottom, the Kwandwe staffers were outstanding professionals: ever attentive to our needs, helpful, gracious, and unfailingly good-humored. And, we had almost too much of a good thing with the Lodge food and house wines.

I do want to send special plaudits to our safari team. We took six safari drives with them - three morning trips and three evening ones. They made each one a different and fascinating venture - carefully explaining what we were seeing and tracking; providing guidance on the Park, its history, vegetation; communicating to us their enthusiasm and knowledge. They made those trips special and memorable occasions for the both of us. "

"BOTTOM LINE - the trip was FANTASTIC, over and above our expectations and dreams...

The most important observation - CC Africa have "sold" NATURE (not only the big 5) to the visitors. This means that at a comfortable and pleasing pace, the guides described the environment, the animals and birds - big and small, the soil, plants and trees, and the interactions among all the different pieces. This approach made me feel "in heaven", whether I saw the big-5, or not. "

"The trip was the event of my travelling life! I can't even describe all we experienced, the wonders of nature, the varied terrain in all the different camps and countries, the sweet warm attentive staffs, the people we met from all over the world, the great food & beautiful 5 star accommodations fit for a queen! The exquisite birds that I never thought I'd care about til then, animals of every sort up close, 10 ft away from our vehicles, and often just roaming through our ungated camps. Mind boggling! All the information from our guides, our butlers serving tea in bed before breakfast, and after the game drives, a bubble bath drawn with roses on table and a fireplace lit. The visit to a Masai warrior village, the lovely gifts we got from some of them...

... so many animals and great birds and trees and people to learn about. It truly was remarkable and richly rewarding and educational. "

"Madikwe was by far and away the highlight of our visit to South Africa with all the staff being so friendly and helpful. Food and wine was also appreciated but it was the wild life that took the breath away. We were successful in 'clocking' black rhino which was our main objective but were also impressed by cheetah and wild dogs. Too many other sightings to mention.

Gill and I liked the enthusiasm that everyone had for conservation and the enjoyment that they expressed about working for an organisation that puts this first."

"Yes indeed, we have had a great "safari" thanks to the excellent service, the remarkable staff and the well trained guides, the luxury and outstanding lodges/camps, the thrilling game drives, the untouched wilderness, the spectacular views, and beautiful landscapes. We have really taken unforgettable memories back home to Switzerland!

We will definitely return to Africa and benefit form CC Africa's outstanding services!"

"We had the trip of the life time and we already want to go back. We love CC Africa and plan on telling anybody we know to use you. Thank you for all your assistance. You were very good with all the details and if I had to grade you I would give you an A+++. We love your country."

"What we experienced was truly amazing, given the fact that I can be rather pedantic when experiencing poor or indifferent service.

The service levels were outstanding and CC Africa has a wonderful team spirit. Staff a the camp represent the spine of CC Africa - and if this is indicative of all CC Africa's camps then I can only commend CC Africa as a business. The warmth of their smiles, their genuine interest in our well being and the happiness amongst the staff at the lodge all contributed to a wonderful atmosphere."
